It is the intention of the court to provide you with useful information so you can make an informed decision about what to do now that you received a ticket. Here are some frequently asked questions, but if your question is not answered in the accompanying information, please call the Court and a member of the staff will be glad to assist you.Court
CRIMINAL, CRIMINAL TRAFFIC, PETTY OFFENSES You must appear in court at date and time indicated on the citation.
CIVIL TRAFFIC You must appear unless: 1. You have paid your ticket or 2. Completed Defensive Driving School or 3. Requested a hearing
JUVENILE You must appear in court with a parent or guardian. There are no exceptions to this policy. -
Court
CIVIL TRAFFIC If you do not appear 1. A default judgment will be entered against you, 2. A monetary penalty will be imposed, 3. Your driver license or nonresident operating privilege may be suspended.
CRIMINAL TRAFFIC If you do not appear: 1. A warrant may be issued for your arrest. 2. Your driver's license or nonresident operating privilege may be suspended.
CRIMINAL or PETTY OFFENSE If you do not appear: A warrant may be issued for your arrest.
TOWN CODE 1. A default judgement will be entered against you. 2. A monetary penalty will be imposed.

CIVIL TRAFFIC If you received a civil traffic ticket, you must appear to enter a written plea of "Not Responsible" and a Civil Traffic Hearing date and time will be set for you by the Court.Court
CRIMINAL, CRIMINAL TRAFFIC, PETTY OFFENSE You must appear in court at date and time indicated on the citation. -
If you meet all of the following criteria, you may attend Defensive Driving School as a diversion program:Court
1. You have been charged with a moving violation. 2. You have not attended a Defensive Driving School for an Arizona violation within the last 12 months prior to the date of your current violation. 3. Your case has not been set for Civil Traffic Hearing.
You may only select this option for 1 charge on your citation. You must complete the class 7 days before your court date. The school will verify your eligibility, provide you with further instructions, and report your completion to the Court.

Court
The Town of Dewey-Humboldt adds an assessment of $79 as a Court Administrative fee to each citation issued, not each violation.
You must contact the Court to get an extension to pay or to make payment arrangements. If you cannot pay the total penalty by your court date, then a $20 time payment fee will be imposed by the Court (per State Statute A.R.S. §12-116).

PAY AT THE FRONT WINDOW: Cash, check, money order or debit/credit card. Court hours are Tuesday through Thursday, except legal holidays, from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
PAYMENT DROP BOX: A payment drop box is located outside the Court and available 24 hours a day.
PAY BY MAIL: Make check or money payable to Dewey-Humboldt Magistrate Court and mail to: Dewey-Humboldt Magistrate Court P.O. Box 492 Humboldt, AZ 86329

PAY WITH CASH AT A RETAILER (PayNearMe): Go to www.azcourtpay.com for information.
If you are required to pay fines, penalties, fees or other obligations as a result of a judgement of this court and you are unable to pay, bring this information to the attention of court staff because payments overt time or other alternatives may be available.
