1. What are your hours?

The Town Hall is open Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There are certain holidays during the year when we are closed: New Year’s Day; Martin Luther King Day; President’s Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Veterans’ Day; Thanksgiving Day; and Christmas Day.

2. Is there a Notary Public available at the Town Hall?

We do provide a free notary service for our citizens. We have certain staff members that are Notary Public . Please call first to make sure one is available.

3. Is there a sales tax in Dewey-Humboldt?

Yes, we have a 2% sales tax. Yavapai County sales tax is 6.35%. If you purchase an item from a business in Dewey-Humboldt area you will pay the combined sales tax of 8.35%.

4. Does Dewey-Humboldt have a business tax or business license requirement?

There is no business tax or license required to do businesses in Dewey-Humboldt. However, there is a zoning requirement if you plan to run your business out of your home. If you are unsure, please contact our Planning department at 928-632-7362.

5. Does Dewey-Humboldt collect property taxes?

No, property taxes are collected and paid to Yavapai County.

6. When are the Town Council meetings?

6:30 p.m. The Town Council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30. Their working session is the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Locations of all meetings are at 2735 S Highway 69, Suite 10, Council Chambers Dewey-Humboldt, AZ 86329.
